Pashat la Tynrai 2013 | Traditional Fashion Show

Описание: This Traditional Fashion Show showcasing the vibrant and colorful attires of the Hynniew Trep people of Meghalaya was held at an event called “Pashat La Tynrai 2013” - An evening of Folk Music, which was organised by the Seng Samla Seng Khasi on the 26th & 27th of July, 2013 at U Soso Tham Auditorium, State Central Library, Shillong. The programme was organized to promote and popularise the cultural heritage of the Khasi Jaintia through traditional music, dance, folk songs, skits, traditional chants and other forms of cultural communication which are indigenous to the people.
The live traditional music is a contemporary rendition of a Khasi devotional song written in 1911 by Radhon Singh Berry entitled “Kiar na ki jingwir bieit”.
