从前，有一对父子住在一个小村子里。一天，父亲决定带儿子去城里卖驴。他们牵着驴，慢慢走在路上。

他们走了一会儿，遇到几个路人。路人小声议论："这对父子真笨，有驴却不骑。"

父亲点头说："好吧，你骑上去。"
儿子开心地骑在驴上，父亲在旁边走着。没多久，他们又遇到另一群人。有人说："这孩子太不孝了，自己骑驴，让父亲走路。"
儿子听了，立刻跳下驴说："爸爸，还是你骑吧！"
父亲想了想，就骑上驴。

The Father and Son Riding a Donkey
Long ago, a father and his son lived in a small village. One day, the father decided to take their donkey to the city to sell it. They led the donkey and slowly walked along the road.
The son asked, “Dad, why don’t we ride the donkey? Walking is so tiring.”
The father smiled and said, “We still need to sell the donkey. Let’s let it rest first.”
After walking for a while, they met some people on the road. The people whispered, “This father and son are so foolish. They have a donkey but don’t ride it.”
After hearing this, the son felt a little embarrassed and said, “Dad, how about I ride the donkey?”
The father nodded and said, “Alright, you can ride it.”
The son happily rode on the donkey while the father walked beside them. Not long after, they met another group of people. Someone said, “This child is so unfilial. He rides the donkey while his father walks.”
Hearing this, the son immediately jumped off the donkey and said, “Dad, you should ride it instead!”
The father thought for a moment and then rode the donkey.
Halfway down the road, someone else said, “This father is so selfish, making his child walk.”
The father felt embarrassed and said to his son, “Then let’s ride together.”
The father and son both sat on the donkey’s back, and the donkey walked very slowly. After a while, someone shook their head and said, “These two are so cruel. The donkey must be suffering.”
The father sighed and said, “Everyone has different opinions. What should we do?”
Finally, the father said to his son, “We shouldn’t keep listening to everyone else. We should do things according to our own judgment.”
The son nodded and said, “Yes. As long as we think it’s reasonable, we don’t need to care too much about what others think.”
The father and son led the donkey and happily continued walking toward the city.
