During our stay in Cotonou, we headed out to reach one the most majestic sights of the whole country of Benin. This is Ganvie village, which can accurately be described as the Venice of Africa! The experience is amazing, as the people of the village live a normal life but only that everything is happening on water. They cook, they sell, they transport and generally everything that exists is on water. It is extremely interesting to be there and experiencing it first hand. Have in mind though, that you have to be respectful with the privacy and the local culture. I explain it better into the video.
