Day 21: Vibe Coding a Thailand Trip Planner with Claude Opus 4.8 + Replit | No Updates on Fable 5

Описание: The US government just directed Anthropic to suspend access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5, and Anthropic says it now has to disable both models for all customers to comply.

So today’s vibe coding stream is not going exactly how I expected.

I’m still building my Thailand itinerary planner live, but we’re also going to react to this wild Fable 5 and Mythos 5 situation in real time. Anthropic says the directive is tied to national security concerns and a possible jailbreak issue, but they also say they disagree with the decision and believe the model’s safeguards were already heavily tested.

As someone who has been using AI coding tools live on stream to build real projects, this feels like a major moment for vibe coders, Claude users, AI app builders, and anyone paying attention to where frontier AI models are headed.

I’m not a cybersecurity expert or lawyer. I’m just reacting as a creator and builder who has been documenting the AI coding process in real time.

Project 2 starts NOW. Last project (Thailand Cost Calculator) took me 7 days to build live on stream. This time I'm leveling up: a full trip planner that helps travelers build custom Thailand itineraries, from Bangkok to the islands and everywhere in between, and I'm testing the newest Claude model to do it.

Why Fable 5? It's Anthropic's most powerful publicly available model, it's Mythos-class, and free access only runs for a limited window before it moves to credits. So I'm putting it to work while I can.

What this app will do:

Get a full Thailand itinerary with cities, islands, and transport
Island hopping routes built in
Day-by-day plans based on your preferences
