This was recorded last night and this morning on our beach at Tigbauan Iloilo. There are areas that got hit hard so we feel blessed. I am sharing this so viewers dreaming of beach life or living in the tropics know the down side of it all also. I also want our viewers to better unstand why we live on the second floor of our structure , why solid concrete and the reason that on the good days we are hauling in stone and boulders, building gabion cages and back filling between us and the ocean. There is a price to pay for living on the beach. This is NOT USA or other countries with big budgets for retaining walls , jetties and other measures. It is what it is. Filipino are strong and maybe you can see why they take life at a different pace. Volcanoes, floods, landslides, typhoons, earthquakes are a daily part of their lives. They don't have the luxury to hop on a plane and go off to another country as a expat ,tourist does here. This is reality for them not a vacation spot on the good days.
