Roy Orbison with "Chicken-Hearted" recorded from the original US 78 rpm shellac single on Sun 284. Released in the US in December 1957, "Chicken-Hearted" and B-side "I Like Love", were recorded in October 1957 at Memphis Recording Service (Sun Studio) with Roy Orbison on lead vocals and guitar, Roland Janes on electric lead guitar, Stan Kesler on bass, Jimmy Wilson on piano, Martin Willis on tenor saxophone and Otis Jett on drums.
