Jack Thurston, presenter of The Bike Show, takes a few weeks away from the radio studio for a tour of the Pyrenees, southern and central France.
1500km including 13,000 vertical metres of ascent.
Part one starts on the Atlantic Coast at Biarritz before heading into the Basque country, over the Cols de Marie Blanque, Aspin & Tourmalet. Plus a side trip down to get some benediction at Lourdes.
This was filmed using a little Panasonic Lumix compact digital camera using its video mode. Hence the slightly dodgy audio.
