Black Velvet - Alannah Myles (Karaoke) - Bass Cover - Request

This is the requested transcription I've done of Alannah Myles song "Black Velvet". This song is from her self titled 1989 album. The bass on this track was done by David Tyson using a fretless bass synth sound.

After transcribing this song, I started to practice and play along with the original track. It felt pretty good, but when I recorded a couple tracks, I realized it's really difficult to match the synth bass sound. Every note on the synth has the same attack, same volume and the same sound, and not to mention I think there are some overdubs happening as well. So I decided to use a Karaoke track with no bass track. It's in the same key as the original (Ebm) and it's the same bass part.

I could tell by some of the licks, that this part was written on a keyboard. Although the licks are just triads, they require some string crossing which can be tricky on the bass.

For the main lick, it sounded to me like there's a higher part laid over top of the low shuffle line. If I wanted to play everything I was hearing, I would need to play double stops. I tried it a couple of times and thought "naaaah...this seems like way too much effort for what wasn't even a bass part to begin with". So I forgot about the low notes and just worried about the top notes. The 3rd note of the triplet sounds like its the delay from the 1st note. So I just played the first 2 notes of the triplet and notated the 3rd as optional.

I also heard a low Gb in the shuffle line that I'd never heard before. Once I heard it, I couldn't unhear it. It's kind of cool and it adds a little variation to the shuffle line. It's a little softer than the other 2 notes in the triplet, but it's there :)
