I know overgrooming can be stressful for both you and your cat and it doesn’t have to be that way.

When you can understand the trigger for your cat you can find other ways to support them leading to them reducing and eventually stopping this self-soothing behaviour.

Cats can be considered complicated creatures but that’s only if you don’t understand them. When I trained in cat behaviour I realised that cats are sentient, sensitive beings that have emotional needs.

In this video I hope you find the cat help you are looking for. I have been working with cats for over 15 years, so I’ve got a fair amount of experience. I know how to treat stress in cats, I know how to support anxious cats and that’s that I want to share with you in this video so you can understand how to speak cat to reduce this stress related behaviour.

In this video I share why cats will overgroom and what you can do to support them. And it's probably not what you think! I'm not a traditional cat behaviourist. I don't just give you ways to stop the behaviour, I try to help you understand it, see it from your cats perspective so you can begin t take steps to deal with it together.

This is not a problem behaviour that we have to stop, more an emotional need we can take time to understand so we can fulfil it for our feline friends.
