Botanicals Inspired by William Morris |

Описание: William Morris is one of my favourite artists. I love his stylised art, inspired by nature. I also love his simple approach to colour. A chat with a dear friend reminded me of my love of his work and his view on life.

He was inspired by medieval manuscripts; that resonates deeply with me too. So, I thought it was time I started to look at how he drew, the features of his style, and how I can incorporate it into my own work. And I do so love botanicals!

So, this is my first attempt at putting together some Morris-inspired elements into a design. And I'm fairly pleased with the outcome. Not sure what to do with the background...yet!

I do hope you'll have a go at drawing along with me and make these floral and leaf motifs your own and use them in your own work.
