Both the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) agreed that the lists must be updated transparently and fairly. The resolution urged the ECI to avoid steps that could harm the rights of citizens, referencing the Bihar SSR, where many names were allegedly removed from the voter list without justification. The Assembly fears a similar trend could spread nationwide.
