LEGO Star Wars X-Wing Fighter Comparison Review. The original, set # 7140, came out in 1999 with 263 pieces. It originally retailed for about $30 and came with four minifigures: Luke Skywalker, Biggs Darklighter, R2-D2, and a Rebel Mechanic. This set, #6212, was released in 2006 with 437 pieces. It originally retailed for about $50 and came with six minifigures: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Wedge Antilles, R2-D2, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca. The newest LEGO X- Wing set # 9493 was released this year of 2012. The set has 560 pieces. It includes 4 minifigures, Jek Porkins, R2-D2, Luke Skywalker, and R5-D8. This set retails for around $60.
