Описание: Lets optimize our greenhouses in these scary hungry times! In northern climates it's hard to grow food over winter in greenhouses because it's colder and we get much less daylight than in summer. For instance, I'm at 48.5 north and get about 16 hours of daylight at midsummer (7 hours of sun coming from NORTH of the east west line!) while I only get 8 hours at midwinter and all that winter light comes from low in the sky from the south Remember, you are not only helping yourself by doing this, you are helping others because the strain on the world food supply will be a lot less. So, here's how it goes. Align your high tunnel east west NOT north south! Erect a temporary insulated reflective wall in the north side of the greenhouse, night blankets, etc, in late September, to keep a section of the greenhouse brighter and toasty warm for a few extra months into the winter, and again in very early spring.
