This year, I started the mileage run at Japan Airlines and first reached oneworld Sapphire status. I had an opportunity to go to London, so I decided to use a oneworld carrier to fly back to Japan.
Since I wanted to use several airlines, I planned multiple stopovers.
Leg 2: Oman Air! They’re the newest member of oneworld (as of June 2025), and this Amsterdam–Muscat route just started in July.
The cabin was very clean, and the catering was quite impressive. I enjoyed a comfortable flight with a full row of three seats to myself. I also visited the oneworld lounge—one of only two worldwide—prior to departure.
