Bloody Fist Records was an underground independent record label that existed in Newcastle, Australia between the years of 1994-2004. The label specialised in uncompromising, lo-fi electronic records with a DIY punk aesthetic before that was cool or profitable. The label had worldwide distribution (pre-internet) but smartly ended the charade when going bald for gabber was a matter of style rather than male pattern hair loss. Fistography at The Project Space: 1-11 October, 2014
Fistography featured the entire extended Bloody Fist Records discography displayed in rough chronological order alongside various artwork, flyers, documents, equipment, photos and related ephemera from the period 1993-2004. Fistography was presented as part of Renew Newcastle, a community organisation that bring life, interest and activity into under utilised neighbourhoods. Bloody Fist Records were never invited back.
