The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has officially taken over the Pahalgam terror attack case, intensifying efforts to gather evidence and question eyewitnesses. The agency registered a case in Jammu on Sunday, following orders from the Union ministry of home affairs (MHA). A team led by the NIA's Inspector General was sent to the site after the attack on Tuesday that killed 26 people, to assist local police in the investigation.
