Overall, I really like the lock.
I understand I kinda contradict myself about the physical build material of the product. I like that it's made of (60% recycled) plastic material, I just hope it lasts and is UV resistant. I would have liked the sides to be metal, but I'm okay with what we got. I am very curious to see how it holds up to winter and exposure to the sun.
The Google Home integration is at this point, pretty lacking and somewhat dangerous -- especially with the inability to see deleted codes (since the deletion does not sync with the lock properly.) If a Google Home Admin had a code assigned, and then the user is deleted, the code is not deleted from the lock. The code still works, and an Unassigned code does not show up in Google Home. You cannot set up a different user under that code, since it's already in use. The only way to clear that code is by factory resetting the lock and starting everything over again.
This, obviously, is a HUGE safety and security issue. It needs to be fixed.
Another pain is the lack of flexibility in assigning codes to Members, just like Admins can get codes. That, and the weird inability to adjust notification settings by default for non-admin users. That seems like an oversight.
Once those issues are resolved, I believe it will be a really solid product. I already really like it. It works well and I've had no issues with it yet.
See you next time,
