I've been messing around with different exhaust setups on the ZHP the past few months. In this video I have three different setups. In all videos I have both stock resonators in place.

The stock exhaust was a bit too quiet for me so I started out with a catback from the junkyard and cut off the muffler and welded in two pipes to extend to the bumper. This lost about 21 lbs. This exhaust droned a bit, but sounded good.
A few weeks ago I picked up Bimmerbrakes gen3 headers and installed them. Inside, the car isn't much louder, but outside it is a completely different animal. Very loud on partial throttle above 2800 rpm.
I put the ZHP exhaust back and while it is quiet inside (almost stock levels) it has a nice sound outside. I didn't want to spend too much time refining the exhaust, but hopefully this can help some people with getting the right sound from their E46.
