This footage from Soputan was taken in May 2015 after several times Soputan erupted during January - February, initiated that Soputan was in level 3 ( pre-eruption warning ) during 26 December 2014. Soputan suddenly erupts 4 times in sequence in 2015. After eruption then Soputan still remains the lava flow debris and seen glowing from the observatory post in Silian. Soputan volcano is a stratotype volcano located in South Minahasa Regency and Southeast Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. The height of the summit of G. Soputan is about 1784 m above sea level. The growth of the lava dome on Puncak Soputan has been observed since 1991, until it spills out of the crater rim causing frequent lava avalanches, with a sliding distance of about 2 to 6.5 km from the summit to the west (the farthest), east and north. The closest settlement is about 8-10 km from the summit. During the rainy season, steam formation from rainwater can occur by lava domes which are still hot and can trigger secondary eruptions, namely in the form of phreatic eruptions (steam eruptions) which can trigger lava dome avalanches and avalanche hot clouds. In the camping ground on the northeast slope about 3 to 4 km from the summit of Mt. Soputan, it has the potential to be hit by heavy ash rain and the potential for throwing sand, gravel to rocks (incandescent). The sediment of material from the eruption of G. Soputan is mainly on the west-southeast slopes, if heavy rain occurs it can cause lava flows that lead to: S. Ranowangko, S. Lawian, S. Popang, Londola Kelewehu, and Londola Katayan. Another potential hazard is lava avalanches, which still frequently occur around volcanic bodies, generally occurring in the north and east. But what must be watched out for is if there is an avalanche of lava domes followed by hot clouds of avalanche to the west (Silian), because the crater opening leads to the area.
