WATCH: During the “Good Morning Britain” broadcast on Tuesday (April 7), British media personality Piers Morgan called Filipino nurses in the United Kingdom (UK) “unsung heroes” in the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) fight. He gave a shout-out to some of these workers, saying “an amazing number of Filipinos working at NHS are unsung heroes.”
Nurse Giselle Bonifacio is one of those unsung heroes. She works in the ICU of one of the hospitals in London caring for COVID-19 patients. On this video you will see how her life was changed by COVID-19, her daily routine and the struggles she shares with fellow healthcare workers. Her daily battle is filled with lots of uncertainties, worries and HOPE.
