The BNSF Southern Transcon & NS Kansas City District in Norborne, MO - July 1, 2023

Описание: For approximately 30 miles, the BNSF Marceline Subdivision, part of the Southern Transcon route between Chicago & Los Angeles and Norfolk Southern’s ex-Wabash mainline between Moberly and Kansas City parallel each other through the heart of Missouri to form a busy double track mainline and connect the city of Kansas City. Both BNSF & NS trains can be seen on either track for the 30 miles between Carrollton (WB Junction) and Camden (CA Junction).

In today’s video, we find ourselves in the small Missouri village of Norborne where both the BNSF and NS split right through downtown. My good friend Blaise (‪@trainiac05‬) & myself spent nearly six hours trackside on this warm July afternoon capturing three movements from the NS and 11 from the BNSF.
