Описание: Yossra Ibrahim is an Egyptologist specialising in ancient Egyptian astronomy, particularly celestial diagrams and their cultural significance. She earned her BA in Egyptology, with minors in Architecture, Entrepreneurship, and History, from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and completed an MA in Archaeology at Durham University. She holds a doctorate from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz with a dissertation titled "Lights of Eternity: Investigations into Concepts, Tradition, and Innovation in Ancient Egyptian Sky Diagrams." Her research included an extensive survey of Egyptian monuments and coffins featuring astronomical depictions, offering new insights into their design, function, and evolution. Beyond her work on astronomy, Yossra’s research interests include tomb robberies, private life, religion, funerary practices, art, and ancient restoration of monuments. She is currently writing a book on Egyptian astronomical diagrams and has appeared in documentaries such as Unearthed, Ancient Egypt by Train, and Pharaons: Comment ils ont percé le mystère des astres.
