Описание: Join us as we step back in time to explore Gwalia, one of Western Australia’s most fascinating ghost towns. Once a thriving gold mining community, Gwalia is now a beautifully preserved snapshot of early 1900s outback life.

We wandered through the reconstructed miners’ cottages, explored the historic buildings, and uncovered the stories of those who once called this remote town home. From the charm of the restored homes to the eerie quiet of the abandoned streets, Gwalia offers a truly unique glimpse into Australia’s gold rush past.

After exploring the history, we made our way to Niagara Dam, where we enjoyed peaceful free camping surrounded by rugged outback scenery and rich goldfields heritage. While in the area, we also took the opportunity to visit the stunning Lake Ballard, home to Antony Gormley’s famous statues — a must-see spot for anyone exploring Western Australia’s outback.
