Repairing a silicone tail? Yes, you can do it yourself! This step-by-step video shows how we repaired a Fantasea Fin dragonscale tail—but here’s what we didn’t say:
🛠️ Use the right silicone: Sil-Poxy (for US mers - as the shipping off of the US amazon is just so expensive from anywhere else) or a 100% silicone, neutral, transparent, non-acidic and ideally waterproof option if elsewhere. Important: Don’t use Dragon Skin silicone to fix Dragon Skin tails as it won't stick! Generally, it is advisable to do a quick first test on another area to see if the silicone you chose sticks to your tail.
🌬️ Safety first: Always wear gloves, ventilate your space, and use a breathing mask to stay safe while working with silicone. Julio didn't wear gloves as he has experimented with silicone already years and years and knows his skin doesn't react badly to it.
