In this special video, I take the first flight of a major airline into McClellan-Palomar Airport located in Carlsbad, California since United left the airport in 2015. They even had a water cannon salute for us when we landed in Carlsbad, despite the rainy and dark conditions.

It is a HUGE deal for the airport to once again have service with a major airline that offers connecting service to a larger network. I included a lot of history and facts about the MANY failed airlines that have attempted to serve Carlsbad since United left in 2015, as well as some facts regarding landing on Carlsbad's shorter under 5,000ft runway, and how that affects American/Envoy operations here...
