Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at this pre-greased trailer idler hub for 3,500 pound trailer axles with the number 84 spindles and has a 5 on 4 and 1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this trailer hub assembly will fit the trailer idler axles. And when we say idler axles, what that means is, that's a trailer with an axle that has no brakes on it, just the idler hub. This is a pre-greased hub.

It's very easy to install. There's no need to pack bearings with the grease. This'll come already greased with lithium complex multi-purpose grease. You can see it has a seal here on the front that keeps the grease in and one on the back. So when you go to install it, you just pop off those seals, and everything will be greased.

You can just slide it on your spindle, torque it down, and you're ready to go. Don't have to pre-grease 'em. It does include everything laid out here on the table. It will include on the inside the pre-greased inner and outer bearings. The bearing race is already pre-installed that the bearings will run on.

It doesn't even install the grease seal right back here, so you don't even need to install that. And if you notice, it'll come with two different grease caps, a standard cap and an E-Z Lube cap for an E-Z Lube axle, and then also five 1/2 inch by 20 size lug nuts. Now, the bearings, the races, and the seal part numbers are all listed on the product page if you do need those. Now, we mentioned a E-Z Lube cap. The E-Z Lube cap is included because if you happen to have a axle that has the E-Z Lube spindles on it, and what the E-Z Lube spindle is is it has a greased Zerk fitting on the end that allows you to pump grease into that spindle to actually lubricate your bearings.

Saves you time from having to, you don't have to disassemble the whole hub, take out all the bearings and grease 'em. An E-Z Lube, you just pump grease in, but you do have to have access to that Zerk fitting, so when your cap is installed, this E-Z Lube cap has this rubber plug. You just pop out this black rubber plug, and it's an opening that allows you to put your grease gun in, put it onto the Zerk fitting, pump grease in, and you're ready to go. When you pull it out, just put the cap back in. Now, this is a sturdy iron construction. Uses a zinc enriched paint on it for durability. It is QAI and CSA certified. Again, the application, this will fit a 3,500 pound trailer axle with the number 84 spindles. It is compatible with standard axles for most manufacturers, including Dexter, Lippert, and Alco. Now, the wheel size that you'll be able to use on this hub, anywhere from 13 inch up to 15 inch. Again, the bolt pattern, five on four and 1/2 inches. The wheel stud diameter's a half an inch, and the weight capacity on this hub is 1,750 pounds. So when this is matched with one on the other side, it'll match the 3,500 pound axle rating.
