Worship is at the heart of all we do at Columbia First Seventh-day Adventist Church. We believe that the primary reason for worship is to have a closer relationship with Christ and it is a continuum of becoming more like Him. This will enable us to minister to our church family, community, and the world in a way that conveys the love of Jesus, His Word, and His will for us all.

BIBLE STUDY
9:30AM each Saturday morning with classes for toddlers to older children, teens and young adults, and older to golden ages.
WORSHIP SERVICE
Each Sabbath (Saturday) morning begins with Songs of Praise at 10:45AM.

About Our Church

The first Seventh-day Adventist church in the Columbia, SC area was formed in 1917. Initially located on Assembly St. near the State Capitol; later on Elmwood Ave. and River Dr. Our school has operated continuously since opening in 1919. Currently, we are located off the Lexington exit of I-20 and are proud to be part of a worldwide organization of more than 15-million members. We would be happy to have you join us on Saturday morning for worship or at one of our events.

When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day.

Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything–the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us–is a part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.
