At its core, this documentary short is about intergenerational connection. Fathers passed them down to sons. Families marked milestones aboard their decks. Decades later, many of these same boats are still on the water; restored, maintained, and cherished by a new generation who understand that quality outlasts trends.
Originally completed in 2022 and now reedited with newly discovered 1980s archival footage, Lasting Impression brings fresh historical depth to the Glasply story. Through factory floor imagery, vintage interviews, and present-day reflections, the film captures a moment in Pacific Northwest growth when craftsmanship, industry, and community converged, and examines how a locally built product left a mark that still floats today.
