We hired Renewal by Andersen to replace all seven windows in our 40-year-old ranch-style retirement home located in Sequim, Washington with beautiful, clear, energy-efficient windows. In addition to reducing energy costs and protecting our furnishings from UV rays, our main objective is to improve the clarity of our amazing views of the Olympic Mountains out the south-facing picture windows.

Background: When we purchased a 40-year-old house as our retirement home in Sequim, Washington, replacing four aluminum frame windows including two large south-facing picture windows was a top priority for our home improvements. Three years ago, while attending a home improvement event in Sequim, we were introduced to a local window company named Glass Services. They came out to our house and presented us with an estimate that fit into our budget: about $2,700 to replace the four aluminum frame windows with vinyl frame windows. We hired Glass Services and our windows were soon replaced. Since then, under the lifetime warrantee by the window Manufacture, Ply Gem, Glass Services has replaced our picture windows twice because of unsightly marks and haze between the panes, each time worse than the windows they replaced. These south-facing windows provide us with amazing views of the Olympic Mountains from sunrise to sunset, which is the main reason why Diane and I bought this house. Having perfectly clear windows to enjoy our view is paramount. Frustrated with looking through flawed windows, we decided three years and three replacements was enough. After researching the best window companies, we chose Renewal by Andersen.
Our experience with Renewal by Andersen (RbA):
