This coordinated attack aimed to cause maximum disruption and casualties within a short period of time.
The sudden escalation of violence also drew Hezbollah, the largest non-state actor in the Middle East, into the conflict from Lebanon.


2024, July 27:
The Druze Rocket Attacks
Although Hezbollah and Israel have regularly exchanged fire since last October, the July 27 rocket attack on the Maj dal Shams, football field in the occupied Golan Heights proved to be a pivotal point in the months-old war on Gaza.
