Vanlife in Tea Gardens, Hawks Nest, and Bulahdelah

Following on from my previous video, there was still more to see around Hawks Nest so I hung around for a few more days. Waking up on a rainy morning, I headed down to Winda Woppa that has riverside parking to wait out the rain. Once the sun came out it was time for a walk around the sandbar at the western end of Jimmys Beach to the mouth of the Myall River. After lunch it was a 16km drive north east to the Dark Point walking track.

I was interested in catching the ferry across to Nelson Bay and fortunately the weather was a little better on Sunday, so jumped on to the historic "Original Tea Gardens Ferry", a 1940's timber ferry that's been around this area for the last 30 years. Having been to Nelson Bay a few time, I decided not to stay there for the day, returning back to Tea Gardens 30 min after arriving.

Woke up on Monday to a sand fly infestation. Once I got all my domestic choirs done, I decided to get out of town and drive up to Bulahdelah. I've had the Bulahdelah Mountain Park on my list of things to do for some time now. Monday afternoon was intermittently raining, so I found a spot in the state forest to sleep and headed off on the walk on Tuesday morning.
