CONFERENCE: December 8-9, 2022
Collegium Civitas, Pałac Kultury i Nauki (Palace of Culture and Science), Warsaw
12th floor, auditorium A
The POPREBEL project was created to analyse and understand the mechanisms behind the victorious march of populism in liberal democratic countries. Divided into several teams with economists, sociologists and cultural researchers, we started to take a close look at the causes of the populist explosion and its consequences. The researchers involved in the POPREBEL project have come to valuable conclusions that are worth disseminating. But an improved understanding of the situation does not automatically lead to better countermeasures.
We therefore propose that researchers join forces with practitioners in an effort to discuss the path forward. We have invited a group of activists and opinion leaders to join the conversation in the hope that the combination of the wisdom from practitioners and the reflections from researchers will result in new and original ideas behind the future solutions to pressing social problems in order to help reverse the decay of democracy. Each panel discussion will be attended by POPREBEL researchers, activists and pundits.
