My first flight, when I had to request to the tower for a special VFR clearance, I originally planned to fly to another airport and make a navigation flight. The weather seemed to be improving, but immediately after takeoff, I decided that due to the descending cloud base, I would not leave the airspace of the airport and I asked the ATC for a permission to practice takeoffs and landings - traffic patterns. I wanted to practice at least these parts of the flight and make circuits over the airport. Unfortunately, already in the first holding above the airport, the weather worsened so much that there were no conditions for a VFR flight and I was asked by the ATC controller on the tower to land immediately. I had to land in very low clouds with almost zero visibility and therefore use all my previous experience from a flight training. Even though it was only the circuits above the airport, it was certainly not easy. The flight lasted about 10 minutes, but the experience gained is incalculable. That is exactly why it pays to fly during flight training in all weather conditions, not only in beautiful ones.
