The tripartite alliance has welcomed President Jacob Zuma's latest cabinet reshuffle. Zuma made the announcement at a special media briefing at the Union Buildings in Pretoria on Tuesday.
The new ministers are: Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs - SL Tsenoli (former deputy minister Rural Development and Land Reform; Human Settlements - Connie September (replaces Tokyo Sexwale); Communications - Yunus Carrim (former Cogta deputy minister) replaces Dina Pule; Energy - Ben Martins (former Transport minister), Transport - Dipuo Peters (former Energy minister).
The deputy ministers are: Constitutional Development and Justice - John Jeffreys, Science and Technology - Michael Masuta, Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs - Andries Nel (former ANC deputy chief whip in the National Assembly and former deputy minister of Justice and Constitutional Development; Rural Development and Land Reform - Pamela Tshwete.
