As part of our annual tradition, this video takes a look at our best finds in the field in our never-ending quest for the rarest, coolest and funkiest lizards, frogs and snakes. In 2023, we took our herping adventures outside of Singapore and overseas, into the highlands of Fraser's Hill, Malaysia, and the Indonesian island of Bali. Whilst herping in Singapore has been fantastic, with plenty of new lifers and rare finds including a baby King Cobra, a venomous Banded Krait, Blue Corals, and Jasper Cat Snakes, the icing on the cake was really our overseas herping trips. Herping in Bali and the highlands was a completely different experience from what we were used to in Singapore, with non-stop downpours, muddy rice paddy fields and even snakes in our hotel!
