Tucked off the side of a narrow road in the woods of one of Pennsylvania’s wealthiest towns lies a small, scattered cemetery. Its stones are worn, broken, or missing entirely. With no clear boundaries, its origins are a mystery. However, thanks to a 1960s transcript, we have a record of the names once carved in stone, some of which may belong to early, prominent families that helped establish a town in New Jersey and assisted George Washington in crossing the Delaware during the Revolutionary War.
