My standard recipe: Enter into soapcalc.net for your size mold.
1.7:1 aloe water:lye ratio, 5% superfat
35% olive oil
32% coconut oil
10% cocoa butter
10% shea butter
8% avocado oil (or another liquid oil such as Hemp, jojoba, or sweet almond)
5% castor oil
1 tsp / lb of oils sodium lactate optional to help harden bar
Essential oil blend: Enter into eocalc.com for your size mold to find suggested usage rates. 30% rosemary, 50% peppermint, 10% marjoram, 10% basil - You can modify this ratio to your preference. Start with just a few drops on paper towel to experiment.
Green portion: dried mint leaves, dried spinach, & some French green clay
Top botanicals: dried yarrow & mint leaves
Optional: spray top with isopropyl alcohol to cut down on soda ash but I found this recipe behaved pretty well.
