How To Repair Exhaust Leak | Lexus IS250 2005-2013

Описание: In this video we are going to replace part of exhaust pipe to fix exhaust leak on second generation 2007 Lexus IS250. This vehicle had check engine light, check VCS light and traction control warning lights come on and turn off randomly. After scanning fault codes we found P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2 - driver side) diagnostic error code.
For this Lexus model most often the code is related to exhaust leak on Y pipe which corrodes frequently. Other causes might be bad catalyst converter or bad oxygen sensor. To fix exhaust leak we cut out parts of old pipe and welded in new parts using MIG welder. Most common symptoms of exhaust leak are loud noise like clanking, exhaust smell while driving.
