With blast of the horn from a salty, BBC India enters the channel leaving the Duluth, MN. harbor. The lift bridge answer the salute with a blast of its own horn.
The BBC India is an ocean going vessel It had just delivered wind turbines to Duluth Harbor. It will now make its way threw the Great Lakes, and then up the Saint Lawrence Seaway to get back to the Atlantic Ocean. The BBC India's original name was Maria Green from 1998-2004. It was built in 1998. It is 468' long, with a beam of 75', and weighs in at 17539 ton. Powered by 10604 hp diesel engine. The BBC India is owned by the Beluga Shipping Company of Bremen Germany, and registered in Gibraltar. More information on this, and other ships can be found on the "Boatnerd" site.
