We're live from our Vietnam sanctuary quarantine area as our bear care team moves recently rescued moon bears Dawn, Midnight and Twilight from quarantine to their forever homes.
Dawn, Midnight and Twilight were rescued from a bile farm along with Chronos and Noon, where they'd spent around 20 years trapped alone in tiny cages. They suffered repeated bile extraction and their bile was sold as medicine.
Dawn was particularly traumatised by her experience on the farm and the sheer length of time she endured such a sad, lonely and dark existence.
Our bear care and vet teams have worked every day with her to help her begin to heal from her past, and she is now ready to take the next step in her journey to recovery.
