Stories for Ages 7–8 — the Foundation Years of Character
This part of our 0–12 years story series is designed to shape values, thinking habits, and emotional strength during a critical stage of development. At 7–8 years old, children begin to deeply understand fairness, honesty, friendship, responsibility, and the difference between right and wrong.
These stories serve as daily emotional nutrition — training not just the mind, but the heart. Because genius without kindness becomes dangerous. Intelligence without values becomes destructive. If we plant the seeds of good values at 7–8, we protect the future.
Albert Einstein once said, “The individual, if left alone from birth, would remain primitive and beast-like in his thoughts and feelings to a degree that we can hardly conceive.”
This idea is supported by the famous case of Dina Sanichar in India (1872), a feral child believed to have been raised by wolves and discovered living in the wolf’s den. When he was taken in, he behaved like the wolves: he ate raw meat, he walked on all fours, and he struggled to learn human language for the rest of his life. His tragic story illustrates a powerful scientific truth — children become what the environment shapes them to be.
Today, many children are not raised by wolves — but they are being raised alone in front of screens. From birth to adulthood, many spend hours with mobile phones, tablets, and computers, consuming content that the parents do not monitor. We often forget that the content we expose our children to is literally molding their brain in these formative years.
If we want to raise children with good values, we must be conscious and intentional about what we allow to enter their mind.
Japan provides a powerful example. From preschool up to Grade 3, the country focuses on teaching values — not exams. Their early education emphasizes courtesy, social harmony, cooperation, kindness, respect, and responsibility. The results are visible in real life — their society is safe enough that even 3–6 year old children walk to school independently.
We need to build a world like this.
This is why we created stories for children aged 0–12 — stories that build character, kindness, respect, and humanity.
We dream that millions of children around the world will grow up with good values — not by lecture, but by the daily stories they hear.
As Charlie Chaplin said, “More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness.” Without these qualities, life will become violent and all will be lost.
Together, we can raise a generation that is kind, gentle, and human-centered — by teaching values through stories until they become part of who they are.
