I tried VMP (Vinyl Me, Please) classics for three months, and here's what I discovered. Jazz and soul didn't feature too high on my musical map growing up, but as I've gotten older, I've grown to appreciate a far wider variety of styles.
As an alternative rock kid, I'd have laughed many years ago if you told me I'd develop a strong love for the likes of Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Louis Armstrong, and Coleman Hawkins by the time I was in my 30s.
To continue my journey of Jazz and Soul discovery, I tried the VMP Classics subscription. Here's what I received over the course of three months and my thoughts about each record.
