Описание: In this week’s vlog NFU President Tom Bradshaw updates from Westminster where he was joined by NFU office holders and board chairs to host the influential Efra committee to garner understanding and support on the big issues affecting our industry now. They discussed planning and investment, SFI, and the UK-EU reset, with NFU representatives helping the committee understand members' concerns.

It has been a busy week for the NFU in Westminster with participants from the NFU's Sugar Industry and Cereals Development Programmes visiting the NFU's Westminster office.
Tom talks about his meeting with the Shadow Chancellor, Mel Stride, where they spoke about securing a commitment on inheritance tax, the investment landscape, and core trade standards.

Tom also speaks about his visit to members in Wales on the Pembrokeshire Project along with the NFU Advisory Group and NFU Cymru about managing bTB risk within herds.

NFU Deputy President David Exwood talks about his meeting with the Tenant Farming Commissioner Alan Laidlaw where he brought forward issues that members are facing. Today, Friday, also marks the launch of the Big Farmland Bird Count, where he urged members to get involved with the count to help demonstrate the conservation and environmental work they do.

Finally, Tom talks about ongoing negotiations with trade and recognises the efforts of members to respond to Defra’s fairness in the combinable crops supply chain consultation.
