In this video, I explain the Roshan Digital Account — RDA, the digital banking gateway that allows overseas Pakistanis to open a bank account in Pakistan remotely and access multiple investment opportunities including Pakistan Stock Exchange, Naya Pakistan Certificates, Roshan Apna Ghar, mutual funds, Sukuk, and other investment products.

Roshan Digital Account is an initiative of the State Bank of Pakistan in collaboration with commercial banks to provide digital banking, payment, and investment services to Non-Resident Pakistanis. SBP’s official RDA page also highlights access to investments such as Naya Pakistan Certificates and other RDA-linked opportunities.

In this complete guide, we cover how overseas Pakistanis can use RDA to build wealth back home, how the account-opening process works, what funding rules matter, and which investment options make sense depending on your risk profile.

For PSX investing, Pakistan Stock Exchange explains that overseas Pakistanis can open a Roshan Equity Investment Account through their RDA portal/app, select a brokerage house, transfer funds to the CDC account, and then start investing in stocks, bonds, ETFs, and government securities.

For Naya Pakistan Certificates, SBP states that after opening an RDA, funds are remitted from outside Pakistan through normal banking channels and can then be used to invest in NPCs.

Roshan Apna Ghar also allows NRPs to purchase property using their RDA, and SBP describes it as a route for overseas Pakistanis to directly buy property through participating RDA banks.
