Petrópolis é um dos berços do automobilismo brasileiro. As corridas nas ruas do Centro Histórico da Cidade Imperial marcaram uma época muito especial para pilotos e seus carros clássicos. A proposta do Circuito Imperial de Automobilismo é resgatar essa história, revivendo o traçado original das corridas do passado, só que agora no formato de um raid histórico.

Nessa segunda edição o evento foi muito ampliado e contou com inúmeras novidades. O carro homenageado foi o Volkswagen Karmman Ghia que está completando 60 anos de Brasil. O solenidade de abertura incluiu na homenagem aos veteranos pilotos e mecânicos que correram em Petrópolis, também uma homenagem especial ao piloto Xandy Negrão, celebridade nas categorias Stock Car e endurance, e que faleceu recentemente.

A exposição dos carros participantes do raid histórico ocupou todo o entorno da Catedral de Petrópolis. Além dos modelos que correram na cidade no passado, os visitantes tiveram uma enorme variedade de automóveis raros para apreciar.

E o ponto alto do Circuito Imperial de Automobilismo recebeu uma cobertura especial do nosso programa MÁQUINAS DE TODOS OS TEMPOS, com belas imagens em 4K de todo o circuito. Petrópolis is one of the birthplaces of Brazilian motorsport. Racing on the streets of the Historic Center of the Imperial City marked a very special time for drivers and their classic cars. The Imperial Motorsport Circuit's proposal is to rescue this history, reviving the original layout of the races of the past, only now in the format of a historic raid.

In this second edition, the event was greatly expanded and included numerous new features. The car honored was the Volkswagen Karmman Ghia, which is celebrating 60 years in Brazil. The opening ceremony included a tribute to the veteran drivers and mechanics who raced in Petrópolis, as well as a special tribute to the driver Xandy Negrão, a celebrity in the Stock Car and endurance categories, who recently passed away.
