Merry Christmas! Today, we celebrate the birth of Jesus, but have you ever noticed that His birth was a mirror of His death? 🤯
✅We often picture a wooden manger, but historically, mangers in Judea were carved out of stone. At His birth, He was laid in a stone hollow (the manger). At His death, He was laid in a stone hollow (the tomb).
✅He entered the world wrapped in cloth, and He left the world wrapped in cloth.
✅He was cared for by a man named Joseph at His birth, and buried by a man named Joseph at His death.
✅He was welcomed with Myrrh by the Wise Men, and buried with Myrrh by Nicodemus.
The Manger wasn't just a bed; it was a rehearsal for the Cross. He was born to die, so that we could live.
The story begins exactly where it ends. Day 19 of 1000 Days of Revealing Christ.
