We took a Day Trip to Hiroshima! (Japan Vlog - Ep. 2)

Описание: Day 2 in Japan took us to Hiroshima 🇯🇵✨ and it ended up being one of the most meaningful days of the entire trip.

We started the morning on Miyajima, and it honestly felt like the calm before the emotional weight of the day. The scenery was unreal, everything was quiet, and it gave us a chance to slow down and just be present.

Then we headed into Hiroshima for the Peace Memorial Museum, and the shift in energy hit us immediately. The museum felt heavy in a way that’s hard to explain—so much silence, so much stillness, and you could feel how deeply people were taking it in. Walking through the exhibits really puts history into perspective, not as something distant, but as something that happened to real people with real lives. It’s a place that makes you reflect, not just on what happened, but on why peace matters and why the world can’t afford to repeat anything like it.

Afterward, seeing the Atomic Bomb Dome in person was surreal. You’ve seen it in photos, but standing there and realizing what you’re looking at—and what it represents—lands completely differently.

We also visited the Hiroshima Orizuru Tower, and that was a moment we’ll remember forever. From the top, the view over the A-Bomb Dome and Peace Park is incredibly powerful, and it felt meaningful knowing how many important public figures have stood in that same place, looking out at the same view, carrying the same message. We folded origami cranes there too, and it sounds like a small thing, but it didn’t feel small at all. It felt like a tiny contribution to something bigger—our own little moment of support for peace and a future without nuclear warfare.

And then, in true travel vlog fashion, we ended the day with a Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki lunch 🤤🥢 Layers on layers, so filling, so good—exactly what we needed after such an emotional day.

Hiroshima is one of those places that stays with you. We came as travelers, but we left feeling changed—grateful, reflective, and carrying that message of peace with us into the rest of the trip.
