Ludwig von Koopa is the oldest Koopaling and overall the second oldest of all of Bowser's children. He took the Pipe Land's King's wand and turned him into a Yoshi. His airship course is the longest one so far.
When you fight him, he can stomp just like his brother Roy, except Ludwig's stomps are more powerful and shake the area a bit longer. After defeating him, the king is returned to normal as his wand returns to him.
All the kings of this game are saved now, however, Mario's mission is not over yet! While Mario was away dealing with the Koopalings, Bowser was easily able to kidnap Princess Peach once again!
The letter Mario receives from the king of World 7 is from Bowser, inviting Mario to come and try to take back the princess from his homeland: The Dark Land.
That's right! You'd think Princess Peach was finally safe for this whole game this time, did you? Nope! Bowser was just waiting for the right time to kidnap her while Mario was away. Some things never change...
