The Future is Vintage!

Berlin-based producer Teka started his career as the in-house-beatmaker for Rootdown Records, one of the biggest players in the German Reggae-Market. He was behind hit tunes by Jamaican and European artists like Richie Spice, Chuck Fender and Ziggi Recado, that gained worldwide recognition.

He continued developing his craft, producing for the Uganda-born Reggae-and Soul-Singer Jaqee and the Future-R&B-Crooner Noah Slee from New Zealand. All his experiences come together in his new project: The „Straight From The Fridge“-Riddim! As if frozen in a time capsule he mixes analogue warmth from instruments like the Hammond Organ with the classic Reggae-Offbeat and Hip Hop-Drums.

On this heavy Backing he brings you artistes like the 90s-Legend Anthony B., the Dancehall-Star Mr. Vegas and Randy Valentine, one of the greatest talents of contemporary Reggae Music. With artists like the swedish Rapper Promoe or the singer Cali P. (who has his Roots in Switzerland and Guadeloupe) the „Straight From The Fridge“-Riddim became a worldwide Project that takes Jamaican Music to new heights, sounding modern and timeless at the same time.
