A journey through parallel dimensions, where past and future intertwine.
Installation by Alfonso Femia / AF*Design.
15th-21st of April - At our space in via Brera 5, we presented the LIGHT THAT MOVED TIME, an installation curated by Alfonso Femia / AF*Design. The focus of the project was future time, observed from the past, in which retro-futurism, a genre celebrated in literature and cinematography, became an endearing, emotional journey.
In the nineteenth-century courtyard, an archaic, primitive form hosted our latest innovations designed for new ways of inhabiting space. These were the Newfo projector, inspired by iGuzzini's first architectural fixture from 1977 Ufo, and Filorail, the track with the smallest opening in the world (3.6 mm).
The journey through space and time continued in the basement. Here the interaction between past and future was expressed in a second retro-futurist set design featuring re-editions from the historical iGuzzini Echoes archive, (including a preview of the 2024 Cespuglio lamp originally designed by Ennio Lucini in 1977), displayed in a context projected forward in time.
Around Milan, we illuminated:
Tandem - Jacopo Foggini and Massimo Iosa Ghini with Kiko Milano / Università Statale
Path – Dream | Dine | Delight | 37 hectares of pure wellness – Simone Micheli / Università Statale
Mimesis. Forma e Immagine – HoperAperta
Un passo avanti - Palazzo Lombardia
TOW - The Odd Wine
